Remove Part of Audio

Select the part you do not want, a mistake, a silence, an ad or a verse, and cut it out. The remaining audio is joined smoothly.

About the Remove Part of Audio

This tool deletes a section from anywhere in an audio file. Drag across the waveform to select it, play it back to check, and export the rest.

SoundBench adds a tiny fade at the join, so the cut does not click. Works with MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and most other formats, entirely in your browser.

How to use the Remove Part of Audio

  1. Add an audio file. Cut selection out is already selected.
  2. Drag on the waveform over the part to remove, or type exact start and end times.
  3. Press Play selection to check what will be removed.
  4. Click Export to download the file without that part.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove more than one part?

Yes. Export, load the new file, and cut the next part. Each pass removes one section.

Will there be a click where I cut?

No. A very short crossfade is added at the join so the transition is smooth.

Can I keep only one part instead?

Yes. Switch to Keep selection, or use Trim Audio.
