About the Reduce File Size
Email attachments, messaging apps and upload forms often limit file size to 10–25 MB. This tool compresses audio to fit by lowering the bitrate, converting to mono and reducing the sample rate where that makes sense.
Enter a target size and SoundBench calculates the highest bitrate that fits, then shows the estimated result before you export.
How to use the Reduce File Size
- Add your audio file.
- Choose a quality preset, or switch to Target file size and type the size in MB.
- Optionally choose Mono and a lower sample rate for speech.
- Click Compress & download.
